HBDA Telemark Ball

I wanted to leave home early enough just in case something went wrong. And it did. The C express bus that gets on the Freeway all the way to town, then ends at Ala Moana Center had two bikes on a two bike rack. Right behind was a #40 with the rack empty. I got the bike on the rack and hoped.

Got to Kapolei Transit Center and took the bike off and the C bus was there with one empty bike rack. I put the bike on the bus and I got to the end of the line at 6.45. Short ride to Kapolani and Kalakaua, the #2 bus and I am at the ballroom earlier than ever.

Said my hellos and put five copies on the desk top and began my deliveries. Came back and I got a photo of the reception table, almost a must.

The Reception desk: Seated, Shirley Ota, Nobu Oshiro,
Carolyn Yim and Stanley Yim. Standing, Darren Wong,
Diane Ramos, Kim Cooper and Herb Ota.

Went around the ballroom, twice, had one dance and promptly ran out of copies. I keep saying I am going to take more but I never do because I hate to bring a bunch back. Anyway, Kim Cooper suggested I get a photo of the kitchen crew. I thought it was very appropriate.

There were too many to name, but if you are looking for the key members of your club, these are the ones.

I had spotted, June Kadomoto and then I ran into Debra Ota so I knew we were going to have good coverage of the occasion. I had done everything I had to do in a short time and I could still get the last express bus going to the Waianae Coast. I split.

Everything went just fine and I was home before ten PM. It was a nice day.
