It all started simultaneously with dance music playing inside the dance hall and the novelty of a gourmet sandwich buffet with trimmings being served outside the lanai area. Both opened at 6 pm sharp at the Ala Wai Golf Course Palladium on Saturday, March 6, 2010. Over 500 tickets were sold for the event.
Maury & Eve Duque with well-wisher
Emcee Jack Legal, executive associate, opened the Telemark Dance Program and Entertainment at 7:45 pm with 2009 Telemark Queen, Eve Duque, escorted by husband Maury Duque. They gracefully performed Peggy Freeman's choreographed Social waltz around the spacious dance floor to the tune of "Someone Must Feel Like".
Toria Agbayani, (granddaughter of Benny and Faith Agbayani), carried the Telemark flag to the stage as she stepped to the music, "Poker Face," by Lady Gaga. A Parade of Telemark Instructors then entered the dance floor performing a fun Zumba line dance to "Get Off A That Thing."
The Queen and her Court procession followed. Roselily Andres grasped the spotlight as "Her Majesty." Husband Esmenio Andres served as her comely escort. Both are HBDA Rotating Instructors. They held the honor of dancing the beautiful, spirited Viennese Waltz, "Rosen", choreographed by Ben and Faith Agbayani. The crown and scepter bearers were their son, James Andres, and their granddaughter, Caitlyn Ilar.. Queen Roselily was crowned and presented a bouquet of roses; Escort Esmenio received a lei.
Entertainment in honor of the Queen involved a group formation and six solos which followed:
- A Telemark formation medley of waltz, samba, and rumba with five couples: Les and Sybil Tawata, Mark Dela Cruz and Faith Agbayani, Eric and Gail Tiwanak, Eugene Higa and Patty Dela Cruz, and Theo and Diana Behic.
Assistant Dance Director Mel Camat and Rotating Instructor Susan Masumoto - Paso Doble
Rotating Instructors Melvin and Cynthia Chow: Fox Trot/Bolero medley
Rotating Instructors Romeo and Miriam Quemado: West Coast Swing
Assistant Dance Director June Kadomoto and Guest Performer Don Smith: International Foxtrot - choreographed by Al Franz
Assistant Dance Director John Kotake and Rotating Instructor Karen Kotake: Bolero

Telemark Queen Roselily Andres and Escort Esmenio Andres then took turns dancing around the floor with the Director, Assistant Dance Directors and their partners forming a circle of dance. Subsequently, all Telemark Instructors joined this circle for the finale.
