Good People

There are an awful lot of good people among our fellow dancers. You are all aware of who they are, at least for the ones closest to you. I have tried to give recognition of these Good People, to increase the awareness among all of us and because this has to become Social Media.

"Darkness can not drive out darkness; only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."

I began about six months ago, I picked the first couple and my plan was for that couple to pick the next month's couple. They in turn would pick the following month's couple, and so on.

It is not working too badly in most of the blogs but there seem to be some forgetting to let me know who is up for the following month. So I must set up a deadline (the 29th.) If I do not know who the next month's couple will be, then I will go on my way and pick the next month's couple. I will try to get the new couple to acknowledge the only requirement from them.

There are no "Good People" designated as such in the Town Dancer blog anymore. God knows there are plenty good people there. So how come?

I picked the first couple and everything went just fine and they recommended the next couple. However the next couple refused. Some kind of conflict of interest.

So I asked a very knowledgeable member of our community and he recommended two couples. So I picked one of them because I knew them better and at the end of the month I found out they didn't like it and rather upset about it to boot. So how do you like them potatoes?

So I then picked the other couple for the next month and reminded them of picking the next couple. The silence that followed was deafening. And I am hard of hearing.

So I picked another couple, and also reminded them of picking the next month's couple. Again the silence was deafening. But at least now we can all be certain. There is no need to spend another minute trying to get anyone into the Town Dancer blog. That is Fini, Kaput, Terminado.  Other people have made the decision on this item and it will be so honored.

Meanwhile, there are a million things to do on the agenda, there is not much time left and I must be on my way to help wherever I can.

"What if doing the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?"
