Coming up this Friday is Doug Kesler’s showcase entitled “A Showcase For All Seasons” at the Pacific Beach Hotel Grand Ballroom. I’m sure it’s going to be a fun showcase. If you’ve ever been to one of Doug’s showcases, you know that he goes all out to entertain you. Don’t know if you can still get tickets, but if you’re interested, give Doug a call.
The following Friday, October 28 is Pan Pacific Ballroom Dance Society of Hawaii’s 37th Inaugural Ball, also at the Pacific Beach Grand Ballroom. For those of you who didn’t know, the Pan Pacific Ballroom Dance Society of Hawaii was founded by one of our local professionals, Mr. Akiyoshi Sugino in 1975. If you don’t have anything planned for October 28 and would like to enjoy a buffet dinner and some good dancing, contact Pan Pac. Their contact information can be found through Ki’s website: http://www.dancefeveroahu.com/ . Just look at the top of the page and you’ll see all the local dance clubs listed with links to their websites. Also, for further down the calendar, tickets are already being distributed for USA Dance’s Winter Ball which will be held at the Palladium on Friday, December 2, 2011. This year, the ticket is only $10. This is a ticketed event, so members also pay. But, what a deal. For the $10 you will get a few surprise shows that are guaranteed to entertain you, great music for LOTS of general dancing, AND, a Chicken & Steak Dinner!! The chicken and steak dinners will be available only for pre-sale ticket holders. No dinners for people who pay at the door (but there will be a second snack for everyone). Sound good? Get your tickets early.
Hope to see you on the dance floor soon!
With Aloha,
Calvin & Debra
