Knick Knax

For us old timers, December can be a great time to think about the changes we want to make in our lives. Being and staying well is a resolution many people make for the New Year, but those resolutions can lead to frustration when we find we have set unrealistic goals.

Making a resolution to change one thing that will make us healthier
is a priceless gift that only we can give to ourselves.

Relative Costs

Competition style of dancing will eventually cost more than any other type of dancing. And it stands to reason why. You know it or you ignore it, it is up to each individual.

Social dancing, just to dance for fun, can cost from much to little and in some cases gratis. If you can develop a nice loose style in line dancing, it will give you the step up to learn Country, American or Universal dance steps and patterns by absorption and watching. When you get to that point, (to dance well) you learn one other thing. You must dance, dance and dance and the more you enjoy it the better it gets. Dat's da reel teeng!

Twenty Five years ago when Salsa was in the process of migrating from the streets to the Ballroom, many good dancers were dancing Salsa for four or five hours straight. Having drinks, socializing and repeating over and over again. Fun, fun, fun.

"How High The Moon"by Les Paul and Mary Ford

It happened in a building down town:
An executive type got on the 12th floor with a lady. On the 10th a gorgeous secretary type got on, poked the exec in the ribs and said, "Hi, Cutie Pie." The lady with the man leaned over and said, "Hi, I am Mrs. Pie."

Why...Is a Favorite Question We Ask, Why?
by Felino S.Tubera

We both understand that getting old is mandatory, if not inevitable. But growing old and feeling good are optional. In outlook or perspective, aging is relative. Growth is life in action. Life as a noun can be activated as a verb: living it. Activity is life. Life is activity. Live life as if dying, or not dying, it's a matter of choice. A viewpoint or a point of view.

There are times we trip over bumps on the roadway, set back by difficult obstacles. Other times, we emerge triumphant against unimaginable odds. Life sinks and floats. Life stumbles, bounces back, moves on. Which way? We have directions to determine, to follow, to pursue. We find ways to survive. We prevail. Death itself, we shall overcome. That's the promise of life. Sometime. Somewhere. Leave the question, how, to eternity.
