West Coast Swing Dance Sunday 11/27/11 @ the Palladium

Aloha Dancers.

Very articulate, well researched article Calvin did on the upcoming WCS workshop w/Cordoba & Szekley courtesy of Caroline Noah.

By the tenor of his latest offering it sounds like Calvin has caught the American smooth bug. Nice! Another acolyte spreading the word is a good thing. I saw Calvin and Debra at the WCS dance after Buddy's classes. Looked like they absorbed quite a lot. What stamina, class all day and dance all night. Aaah, to be younger. As quick studies they'll be adept at WCS, Hustle, NC2S as Ballroom in no time.

I am hopeful that Cal's write up on the Cordoba & Szekley workshop will go viral with his friends and be as successful as Buddy's. The more Westies, the more fun.

Okay, so for those that had their interest piqued by Calvin the West Coast Swing Club has a dance this Sunday at the Palladium. Don't be shy, the dancers are friendly and the club welcomes all. This club is equal rights...ladies can ask too.

When I was first interested in dance 3+ years ago Roland the president welcomed this shy non-dancer to the WCS experience with, "You might as well come in, the girls are looking at you like a piece of meat..."How does the blue plate special refuse such a warm heart felt invitation? I stepped in and have never regretted it.

There is an $8 non member fee, $5 for members. Joining is $20 a year (so I'd wait till Jan.to decide.) The half hour lesson is from 6:30 to 7ish. My fav DJ Bert Burgess spins tasty tunes and takes requests.

They usually hold dances on the 1st and last Sunday of the month.

Come join the fun. It's not about how good you are at dancing but how good you feel when dancing,
